You are invited to get on board our documentary community-building initiative!

You can Get on the Doc Bus in a variety of ways, both online and offline, as we travel through your town or city across Canada this summer.

  • Meet the Doc Bus on the¬†Journey!

Check out the calendar to see our itinerary. Want to connect when the Doc Bus is in your area? Send us an email!

  • Get on the Documentary Map!

Get on the Doc Bus is a first step towards building a grassroots documentary cinema network. To that end, we’re building a map-based database of organizations, businesses or groups connected with local documentary screenings, production or distribution.

We invite you find out more and register your documentary screening program or documentary related organization, business or group.

Tiffany Shlain has generously sponsored the Doc Bus initiative by offering us an unlimited license to screen her award-winning documentary across Canada this summer! If you’d like to participate by screening CONNECTED in your town or city, and connect with the Doc Bus via skype, livestream and/or #DocBus Tweetchat, please contact Mandy to discuss!

  • Support the Doc Bus Project!

We are building a grassroots network; crowdsourcing and crowdfunding are the name of the game. If you have time or skills or services that you’d like to offer, such as WordPress skills, media contacts, sponsor ideas or travel support across Canada, we want to hear from you!

  • Support the Documentary genre!

Did you know that the documentary genre was born and raised in Canada? And that Canada has a world-reknowned reputation as a leading edge documentary filmmaking culture? The current crisis in Canada’s documentary film industry is a threat to our national heritage.

Please sign the petition to declare documentary as Canada’s national art form!
